Synopsis:

Once upon a time, Melanie Layton and Tennyson O’Rourke were inseparable—but their friends-4ever promises were shattered when an explosive secret was revealed at Mel’s wedding, a secret that destroyed her family.

Review

Easy and short story about two old best friend who became enemy’s and now they have to fix their problems because their son will get married.

I think this scenario is the worst for two enemies, and that’s make a funny and entertainment story to enjoy in a few afternoons.

First, I have to mention that this story reminded me of two comical movies about weddings:

Bride wars

Because of the similarity of the two brides fighting for have the best; the best bridal shower, the best wedding

But this time is a fighting between moms, and you can see how hard is because the two moms are totally different but they love their son and daughter so they want the best for both.

Moreover, in the wedding war you can see how Tennynson and Melanie care for each other and they have dialogues and situations that make you laugh all the time.

I love the characters, both Melanie and Tennynson.

While Melanie is reserved, controlled and always has to do everything in the best way possible and she cared about her children so much that you started to like it.

Tennynson is crazy, she thinks that she can do whatever she wants (and she does) and she is so spontaneous and secure of herself, I truly fancy her character.

The second movie is the father of the bride 1

When his daughter gets married and the father hire an exotic wedding planner like Tennynson and Melanie do.

The situations every time they are reunited for the wedding are hilarious because they are fighting for things of the past but you start to read little glimpses why they fight years ago and that is entertaining.

Besides, are not only funny things in the story you also can see struggles with diseases like bulimia, anorexy, depression and anxiety.

Tennynson AKA Tenny

She is extroverted, intelligent and determined.

She got in some troubles when she was younger but she got married with a rich man who let her a good amount of money.

She has a handsome and intelligent son who adore her and who fell in love with the daughter of her former best friend.

I think I wish be like her when I get older.

Melannie AKA Melly

She is so funny, and the poor woman has a bad mom who controller her so much, even with her 46 years old.

She got mad with Tenny so many years ago but now you star to notice how their chemistry is and how Melly become in an easy going and relax person.

She is the persons who suffer the most in the present but she is so happy with the happiness of her daughter.

Conclusion

Is a funny and enjoyable story about two former friends who have find a way to settle their problems for the good of their children.

I absolutely recommended this book; you will get lost in the story a few hours   and I think everyone need this kind of story this time in particularly.
